This page explains how to delete your AI Beard account and what happens to your data when you do. Required by both Apple's App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's Account Deletion policy — published here so you can find it without installing the app.
How to delete your account
Inside the app (fastest)
- Open AI Beard and sign in if you aren't already.
- Go to Settings (or your profile).
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
- You'll be signed out immediately. Deletion completes within minutes.
By email (if you can't sign in)
Email contact@aylantech.com from the address associated with your account. Subject line:
Delete my AI Beard account
Body:
I am the holder of the AI Beard account under <email>. Please delete my account and all associated data.
We complete email-based deletions within 7 business days and confirm via reply.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account we remove:
- Your profile (username, email, any preferences).
- Every scan you've ever run, including the selfies you uploaded.
- All derived results (face shape, beard density / coverage / symmetry / line-up scores, patchiness, zone breakdown) and your scan history.
- Every AI-generated style preview and any style requests you typed.
- Subscription history within our database (the App Store copy is governed by Apple's separate policy — cancel there too).
- Authentication tokens and password hash.
Account deletion is immediate from our backend and propagated to backups within 30 days.
What we are legally required to keep
We retain the minimum required by law, only for as long as required:
- Payment records (invoice number, amount, date, store transaction id) for accounting and tax reasons, typically up to 10 years. We do not retain the link between these records and your name beyond what the law requires.
- Abuse / fraud signals (device attestation reference, install id) for a limited period to prevent the same device from immediately creating a new account after a refund-abuse pattern, and to enforce the free-scan limit.

Cancelling a subscription (separate from deletion)
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple. To stop a recurring charge:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → AI Beard → Cancel Subscription.
If you delete your account while a subscription is still active and within the trial / refund window of the App Store, contact the store for any applicable refund.
