AI Beard is NOT a medical or dermatological tool.
The app is a grooming and styling tool. Its beard scores, zone analysis, and style previews are AI estimates and simulations. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition of your skin or hair.
This page spells out clearly what AI Beard is and is not, so there's no confusion about how to read its output.
What AI Beard is
- An analyser: from a selfie, an AI estimates beard density, coverage, symmetry, line-up, face shape, and a zone-by-zone breakdown.
- A style visualiser: it generates previews showing your face with different beard shapes, lengths, or colours.
- An inspiration tool: it suggests styles and grooming ideas to try or take to your barber.
What AI Beard is NOT
Not a medical or dermatological tool
- It does not diagnose alopecia, patchy-beard conditions, folliculitis, skin conditions, or any pathology.
- It does not provide medical or dermatological advice.
- It is not a substitute for a doctor, dermatologist, or trichologist.
- If you notice hair loss, a rash, irritation, ingrown hairs, lumps, or anything unusual on your skin, see a professional — the app is not an alternative.
Not a guarantee your beard will look the same
- Style previews are AI simulations produced by a probabilistic model, not predictions.
- Whether you can actually grow a given style depends on your genetics, hormones, age, and natural growth pattern — things the app cannot change or guarantee.
- A patchy area shown “filled in” in a preview will not fill in just because the app drew it that way.
- Two generations of the same request can differ because of model variance.
Not a guarantee about products or procedures
- The app does not endorse and cannot verify the safety or effectiveness of any beard oil, supplement, minoxidil, or transplant procedure.
- Never start, stop, or change a supplement, medication, or treatment because of what the app shows. Talk to a qualified professional first.
Not a rating of other people
- Scans are designed for your own face photos.
- Don't scan or generate images from someone else's photo without their explicit consent, and never from a minor's photo.
- Scores are private to your account; we don't run public leaderboards.
Take results to a professional
If you like a generated style, save it and bring it to a qualified barber. They can tell you whether it suits your face and growth pattern and how to shape and maintain it. For anything about skin or hair health, see a doctor or dermatologist.
Acceptable use, briefly
- Don't use the app to harass, mock, or shame anyone.
- Don't scan photos of people who haven't consented.
- Don't upload photos of minors.
- Don't pass off AI-generated previews as real photographs or use them to make grooming or transformation claims.

Limitation of liability
By using AI Beard you accept that:
- We're not liable for grooming or appearance outcomes from decisions you make based on the app's output.
- We're not liable when a real beard or a product result does not match a preview.
- The cap and full limitations are set out in §10 of the Terms of Service.
