AI Nail is a nail-art design and visualisation tool. This page spells out clearly what the app is and is not, so there's no confusion about how to read its output.
What AI Nail is
- A design generator: you describe a vibe (colours, occasion, style) or upload a reference image; an AI returns nail-art previews.
- A try-on visualiser: upload a hand photo and an AI overlays a chosen design on your nails to give you a rough idea of the look.
- A Stylist chatbot: an AI conversation partner that suggests designs, generates them on request, and helps you save and share looks.
- A personal library: saved designs, try-ons, and collections for inspiration to share with friends or take to your nail technician.
What AI Nail is NOT
Not a medical or dermatological tool
- It does not diagnose any medical, dermatological, or nail-health condition.
- It does not detect fungal infection, allergic reaction, brittle-nail syndrome, or any pathology.
- It cannot tell you whether a design's materials (gel, acrylic, dyes, glitter) are safe for your skin.
- If you see something on your nails or skin that concerns you — discolouration, persistent pain, swelling, separation from the nail bed — see a doctor or dermatologist. The app is not an alternative.
Not a salon and not professional advice
- We are not your nail technician, dermatologist, or beautician.
- Don't start, stop, or change any product (gel polish, acrylic, removers, supplements) based on what the app shows.
- Talk to a qualified nail technician before attempting designs that involve sharp tools, heat, or strong solvents.
Not a guarantee that a design will look the same in real life
- Generated images are artistic previews produced by a probabilistic AI model.
- The try-on overlay is an approximation. Real-world results depend on the actual materials used, application technique, your natural nail shape, length, condition, and lighting.
- Two generations of the same prompt can differ because of model variance.
- Some AI-generated patterns may be physically impractical or require specialist tools that a casual salon may not have.
Not a rating of other people
- The try-on feature is designed for your own hand photos.
- Don't use someone else's hand photo without their explicit consent.
- We don't run public leaderboards or social feeds. Your designs and try-ons are private to your account.
Take results to a professional before committing
If you love a generated design, save it and bring it to a qualified nail technician. They can tell you whether it's achievable with the materials available, whether any product is safe for your skin, and how to adapt the design to suit your nail shape.
Acceptable use, briefly
- Don't use the app to harass, mock, or shame anyone.
- Don't run try-on against photos of people who haven't consented.
- Don't use the app on minors' photos for try-on.
- Don't resell or pass off AI-generated designs as your own original artwork without disclosing they were AI-generated.
Full acceptable-use rules live in the Terms of Service.
Limitation of liability
By using AI Nail you accept that:
- We're not liable for outcomes when a real-world manicure does not match a generated preview.
- We're not liable for skin or nail reactions to products you choose to apply.
- The cap and full limitations are set out in §10 of the Terms of Service.
