Sunstop

These Terms are a contract between you and Aylan Apps (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Sunstop mobile app, our backend and the related website. By installing or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app, in plain language

Sunstop estimates, from your self-reported skin type and the local UV forecast, how long skin like yours can be in the sun before burn risk rises, and runs a timer with reminders. It is an informational tool. Specifically, Sunstop:

• is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent sunburn, skin damage or skin cancer;
• does not promise or guarantee a tan, and does not describe any amount of sun exposure as safe;
• cannot see your skin, your medication, your history or your surroundings, and its estimates can be wrong;
• does not replace sunscreen, shade, clothing or the advice of a dermatologist.

UV damage accumulates below the point of visible burning. The number the app shows is a ceiling, not a target. Read the Sun Safety Information before relying on it.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You must have the legal right to enter into this contract in your country.
• Some features (paid subscriptions, Apple Health, weather data) may be unavailable in your region.

3. Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials safe and do not share it. You may delete it at any time from Me tab, Settings, Delete account, or by emailing support@aylanapps.com.

4. Subscriptions and payments

4.1 Free and Pro

The daily UV forecast and the burn-time estimate are free, for every user, without an account or trial. Sunstop Pro is a recurring subscription (annual or monthly, prices shown in the app) that unlocks guided sessions with reminders, session history and Apple Health writing.

4.2 Billing

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, which handle billing, refunds and renewals. We manage entitlements through RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.3 Free trial

Where a plan includes a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. When you allow notifications, the app sends a reminder before the trial ends.

4.4 Cancellation and refunds

• iOS: Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions. Android: Play Store, Subscriptions. The app links there from the Me tab.
• Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.

5. Weather data

Forecasts are provided by Apple Weather (see Apple's attribution) or, as a fallback, Open-Meteo. Forecasts are estimates and can differ from actual conditions. Cloud, altitude, reflection from water, sand or snow, and time of day all change real UV exposure.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or overload the app or our backend, and not to use it for any illegal purpose.

7. Intellectual property

Aylan Apps owns the app, the brand, the design and the source code. Your profile and session data remain yours.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or expose us or other users to legal or safety risk. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind.
• Burn-time estimates, UV forecasts, vitamin D figures and reminders are informational only and must not be relied on to avoid sunburn, skin damage or any health outcome.
• We are not liable for sunburn, skin damage, missed reminders (for example because notifications were disabled, the phone was off, or the forecast was wrong) or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
• Our total liability for direct damages is capped at the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; they apply only to the extent permitted.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the app 14 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes go to the competent courts of Paris, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country says otherwise.
