Account Deletion

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This page explains how to delete your TattooLab account and what happens to your data when you do. Required by both Apple's App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's Account Deletion policy — published here so you can find it without installing the app.

How to delete your account

Inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open TattooLab.
  2. Sign in if you aren't already.
  3. Go to the Me tab.
  4. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm.
  6. You'll be signed out immediately. Deletion completes within minutes.

By email (if you can't sign in)

Email contact@aylantech.com from the address associated with your account. Subject line:

Delete my TattooLab account

Body:

I am the holder of the TattooLab account under <email>. Please delete my account and all associated data.

We complete email-based deletions within 7 business days and confirm via reply.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account we remove:

  • Your profile (username, email, any preferences).
  • Every tattoo design you've ever generated, plus their prompts and metadata.
  • Every try-on you've ever run, plus the input body photos and the generated overlays.
  • Every inspiration photo you uploaded.
  • Your entire Tattoo Assistant chatbot conversation history.
  • Saved designs and collections.
  • Your device push tokens and notification preferences.
  • Subscription history within our database (the App Store / Play Store copy is governed by their separate policies — cancel there too).
  • Authentication tokens and password hash.

Account deletion is immediate from our backend and propagated to backups within 30 days.

What we are legally required to keep

We retain the minimum required by law, only for as long as required:

  • Payment records (invoice number, amount, date, store transaction id) for accounting and tax reasons, typically up to 10 years. We do not retain the link between these records and your name beyond what the law requires.
  • Abuse / fraud signals (hashed device fingerprint, IP at last login) for 180 days to prevent the same device from creating a new account immediately after a refund-abuse pattern.
  • Crash logs for 90 days in Firebase Crashlytics, then permanently deleted. These don't contain personal data.

If you want a written confirmation listing what was kept, email us.

Cancelling a subscription (separate from deletion)

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple / Google. To stop a recurring charge:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → TattooLab → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Play Store → Subscriptions → TattooLab → Cancel.

If you delete your account while the subscription is still active and within the trial / refund window of the App Store, contact the store for a refund.
