Your privacy is important to us. It is Aylan Apps' policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app, HairAI - AI Hair Studio.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used.

Information We Collect

When you use HairAI - AI Hair Studio, we may collect the following information:

• Selfie photos you take for hair transformation (uploaded securely for AI processing)
• Hair style and color preferences you select
• Custom text prompts describing your desired look
• Generated hair transformation images
• Account information (username, email) if you create an account
• Device information for app functionality and fraud prevention
• Usage data and app analytics to improve our service

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Generate AI hair transformations based on your selfie and style selections
• Analyze your face shape to recommend flattering hairstyles
• Store your transformation history for future reference
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
• Improve our AI models and app functionality
• Prevent fraud and ensure fair usage of credits

Photo Data and AI Processing

When you use HairAI, you provide a selfie that you capture or pick from your photo library. We send this photo to Google Gemini AI to (a) generate a new image of you with the hairstyle and color you choose, and (b) optionally return categorical descriptors of your face shape, skin tone, and undertone so we can recommend flattering styles.

We do not collect biometric face data. HairAI does not use FaceID, ARKit face tracking, or any face-recognition system. We do not generate, store, or share face geometry, facial landmarks, embeddings, or recognition templates. The selfie is treated as a regular photograph; the face shape / skin tone / undertone outputs are short text labels, not biometric measurements.

We do not use your photos for any purpose other than providing hair transformation services to you. Your photos are never shared publicly, sold, or shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.

Why We Store Your Photos

Your selfie and the generated result are stored in secure cloud storage (Google Firebase Storage) and associated with your account so that you can revisit, compare, and share past transformations from the in-app History tab. The categorical descriptors (face shape, skin tone, undertone) are stored in our database so we can show personalized recommendations without re-analyzing the same photo on every visit.

How Long We Store Your Photos

We retain your selfies, generated results, and categorical descriptors only until you delete them. Specifically:

• Per-generation deletion: you can delete any individual selfie/result at any time from the History tab. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Account deletion: deleting your account (Profile → Delete Account, or via the account-deletion page) permanently removes all your selfies, results, and descriptors from our storage.
• No automatic expiry: we do not auto-delete photos on a fixed schedule, because the History tab is the core feature that lets users compare past results — silently expiring photos would break this. Storage is fully under your control.
• Google Gemini does not retain copies: photos sent to the Gemini API are processed and returned; Google does not store them after analysis and does not use them to train its foundation models when accessed via the API.

No biometric template is ever generated, so none is retained.

Data Storage and Security

What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. All transmission to and from our servers and Google Gemini uses encrypted HTTPS connections.

Other Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase Storage to store your selfies and generated results, RevenueCat for in-app purchase management, and our own backend (hosted on Render) to store account metadata and categorical descriptors.

We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law or with your explicit consent.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data, transformation history, and photos
• Delete individual transformations or your entire account
• Report AI-generated content that is inappropriate
• Opt-out of data collection for analytics purposes
• Refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy
